Renaming Column Headers

Customize column headers to match your specific business terminology and make tables more relevant to your services or products.

Editing Column Headers

Renaming Headers:

1. Click directly on any column header text
2. The text becomes editable
3. Type your new header name
4. Press Enter or click outside to save

Default Headers

Standard Pricing Table Headers:

• Name: Item or service description
• Quantity: Number of units
• Price: Unit cost
• Subtotal: Calculated line total

Custom Header Examples

Service-Based Business:

• "Service" instead of "Name"
• "Hours" instead of "Quantity"
• "Rate" instead of "Price"

Product Sales:

• "Product" instead of "Name"
• "Units" instead of "Quantity"
• "Unit Price" instead of "Price"

Consulting:

• "Deliverable" instead of "Name"
• "Days" instead of "Quantity"
• "Daily Rate" instead of "Price"

Header Consistency

Template Benefits: When you rename headers in templates, all future documents generated from that template will use your custom header names automatically.

Document-Level Changes: Headers can also be customized for individual documents without affecting your template defaults.
