Salesforce integration

How It Works

The integration establishes a two-way connection between Proposify and Salesforce that:

  • Pushes document activity and status updates back to Salesforce,
  • Syncs contact, company, and deal data from Salesforce to Proposify,
  • Coming Soon: Allows for document creation and management within the Salesforce interface
  • Coming Soon: Sync opportunity line items from Salesforce into Proposify tables

When properly configured, the integration will automatically map Salesforce opportunity information to your Proposify documents, keeping your sales data consistent across both platforms and streamlining your document creation process.

🚀 Getting Started

Setting Up Your Salesforce Integration

Before setting up the integration, ensure you have:

  • An active Proposify account with admin or integration-related permissions,
  • A Salesforce account with appropriate permissions

Enable the Integration

  1. In Proposify, click on the Integrations icon in the left sidebar, and on the main integrations page, select the Salesforce card: integrationsV3Page.jpg
  2. Click on Connect in the Salesforce Connection card:

This will ask you to login to your Salesforce account, and once that has been approved, you'll see the connection card with a green dot, versus yellow.

  3. Be sure to connect to Proposify, and then select Next.

🧩 Mapping Fields

Now it's time to set up your objects! Choose which Record Types you'll like to eventually pull from, like Opportunity, Contacts, Products, etc:

The Record Fields will let you customize what information you actually will need, and what you'd like to use in your documents. Things like, Opportunity Name, Create Date, etc. are options you can choose from the Record Fields:

Once you select all applicable fields, click Finish. You can revisit this and adjust at any time by going to the Salesforce integration card from the integration page, and select Reconfigure.

🔁 What Happens Next?

Once connected:

  • Any time a record (contact, opportunity, line item, etc.) is added or updated in Salesforce, we'll receive that data.
  • Your linked proposals will automatically reflect these updates.
  • Mapping CRM fields to Proposify

🧾 Working with Line Items in Your Template

Coming Soon: We're going to work on an update to dynamically display pricing information from Salesforce in your Proposify documents.

✅ Wrap-Up

Once everything’s mapped and your template is ready:

  • Link your proposal to a Salesforce Opportunity
  • Proposify will auto-generate the line items
  • Future updates from Salesforce sync right into your proposal
