Connecting Claude to Proposify with MCP
You can now connect Proposify directly to Claude using MCP (Model Context Protocol). Once connected, you can ask Claude to help create, update, and personalize your documents right from your chat conversation.
What You'll Need
You only need a Claude account to get started; even the free version works, though you may have limited usage depending on your plan.
How to Set It Up
- Open Claude and go to your connector settings (look for Customize Connectors).
- Click Add.
- Paste in the Proposify MCP connection link: https://mcp.proposify.com/mcp
- Give it a name, such as "Proposify MCP."
- Click Connect.
- Scroll down and click Add, then click Connect again to finish.
- Proposify will ask you to authorize the connection: approve it, and you're all set.
That's it! No complicated configuration needed.
What You Can Do With It
Once connected, you can ask Claude to help with things like updating an existing document's content, tailoring a document based on information from your website, and refreshing sections like company details, bios, or next steps.
Results may vary depending on what you ask for, and some outputs (like auto-selected images) might need a manual review and swap afterward. Think of it as a helpful first draft tool rather than a fully hands-off solution.
Tips for Best Results
Be specific in your prompts, for example, asking Claude to update a document based on your website content rather than a vague request. Since AI-generated content and images won't always be exactly what you want, it's worth reviewing before sending. If you're on a free plan, keep an eye on your usage limits, since larger requests may use them up quickly.
