Editing Your Type Styles

Design is a major element to the perfect proposal. We’ve built Proposify’s editor with that idea in mind. All our proposals are 100% customizable, allowing you to tweak each element to suit your brand. Here’s how to update your type styles to match your company’s voice.

From the proposal or template’s editor, click inside a text box. This will reveal the top toolbar at the top of the editor:

You can read all about what each part of the toolbar does here. For now, let’s focus on the font styles dropdown, found on the far left:

Clicking on that will show the full list of font styles:

Here, you’ve got a preview of what your font settings are currently set to. The style highlighted in blue indicates the current style in this paragraph. If you want to update one, you can hover over the triangle next to that and select “edit [text style]”:

Don't see this the triangles? You might not have "edit proposal" privileges. In that case, you won't be able to set global font settings. Talk to your account admin to have your role updated.

Once selected, your right-hand menu will change to show typestyle options:

You can find a full breakdown of these options here. Once you’ve changed the options, click “save type styles”. This will apply the new settings to every paragraph that uses this font style.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you’ve changed the font size or colour of text using the top toolbar, that text won't change. If you want that text to match, you can place your cursor in that text and click “clear formatting” at the right of the toolbar:
