You're ready to build a proposal from a template, but the template is gone. Here's how to recover it.

It happens from time to time: A colleague cleaned up the Template Library and didn't realize that what they considered junk was your treasure. Before trying to re-invent the wheel and rewrite the whole thing, here's how to restore that template in a few clicks. 

Step 1: Locate a proposal made from the template

You can locate the proposal either from your Pipeline or Archive. 

If the proposal is Won/Lost

Recovering a template requires the Proposal Editor, which can void your Won documents. To prevent that, select Duplicate from the document’s three-dot menu:

This creates a clone of your proposal in Draft state.

Step 2: Enter the Editor

Once you've located the document, select Edit:

This will take you to the proposal's Editor.

Step 3: Save as Template

Once in the Editor, it’s time to save this as your Template. Select the triangle next to Save, then select As Template:

Finally, name your template and Save to add this to your Template Library.
