Click here for more information on the difference between Page Flow and Static sections.
When you're creating a new section from scratch, you have the option to choose one of two different kinds of sections:
Each section works differently based on what you need for that section. Here’s a breakdown.
Page Flow Sections
Page flow sections are similar to Microsoft Word or Google Docs. They have a uniform text box on every page. Whenever your text or inline content runs over the borders of that text box, a new page is created so you can keep writing.
This makes page flow sections great for text-heavy sections, such as terms and conditions, contracts, scope of services, and case studies.
Adding a page to your page flow section
Pages are added automatically whenever your text runs past the text box's margins. If you need a new page immediately, you can press Enter or Return on your keyboard and make as many line breaks as needed in order to create a new page.
Changing Page Flow Text Box Margins
You can edit the margin sizes of your page flow text boxes by selecting Edit Styles and Formatting:
From the Styles and Formatting Menu, select the Page tab and enter your dimensions under margins:
The numbers are the distance, in pixels, from the edge of the page to the edge of the text box.
Static Sections
Static sections are a blank canvas that let your design skills shine. Static sections are great for "about us" pages, testimonials, design portfolios, and any section that needs more pictures than words or a more fluid layout.
Adding a page to your static section
To add a page to your static section, select the + button found in the section's page list in the section menu on the left-hand side:
This will add a new, blank page to that section.
Deleting A Page
To delete a page, select the trash bin icon at the top right of the page:
NOTE: There needs to be at least one page in a section. You can remove the last page by removing the section instead.
Changing Between Page Flow and Static Section
Once a section has been selected as page flow or static, it's set permanently. If you would like to use a static section instead, you can create a new static section and copy/paste the content from your page flow section to a text box in the new, static section.
