To create incredible documents in our editor, our fundamentals will help add the necessary content to win over your prospective clients and seal the deal.

Select any of our core fundamentals—text boxes, images, tables, signature boxes, or the infinite canvas. Expand the dropdown menus to see what each fundamental element offers and how it can enhance your document.

  • To add a text box, select Content, and drag and drop the Text block onto the page: textBlockE3.jpg

All text boxes are floating elements on the page and can be resized by dragging one of the four corners. As you type, the box size will automatically increase and continue resizing down the page as you add content.

You can adjust the text to be bold, italic, or underline, can update the text colour, alignment, line height, add a link, create lists and add an image.
Any text added to the block will take on the default text style.

At the top of the text block, there's an option to format the block. The formatting options for the block are changing the background colour, updating the border (width, colour, radius, sides) and adjusting the padding:

  • If you have a text box on the page, you can add an image inside the existing box by selecting the image icon. A small popup will appear below the image icon, in which you can choose your image by either uploading one, adding it via URL or browsing the image library:

Image blocks can be added independently, similar to text blocks by selecting Content, clicking on Image and then selecting your image (or add in a new one with the + option). The image blocks are floating elements and can be positioned anywhere on the page, and resized similarly to text blocks by grabbing any of the four corners to adjust:

Images, like text boxes, can be formatted by clicking on the image and choosing the format option at the top. Images can have their opacity adjusted, add image alt text, create a link, set up a border (colour, width, radius, sides) and padding.

  • The first iteration of our tables resides in the table block, found under the Content tab. Clicking on Table will show Text Table, which you can click and drag onto the page. This will create the base table, complete with a header, two columns and two rows:
insertTableBlockE3.jpgTo note: at this time, only regular text can be added, formatting the text is unavailable.

    Rows

Double-clicking into any row cell will open the edit options on the right-side panel where you can add, remove, copy and delete a row. You can also adjust the row type in the dropdown menu, choosing from header, body or footer:

When editing the table, rows can be rearranged by clicking and dragging the icon to the left side of the row, while the row height will adjust in size based on the amount of content added.

    Columns

After double-clicking on the table, you'll see in edit mode that the topmost row is the column labels. These will show what type of column it is and disappear when not editing the table. The only Column Type available is the Text type:

Columns can be added, duplicated, deleted and can be resized by grabbing on the right edge of the label while dragging the column to adjust.
  • Signature blocks can be added to the page by selecting the signature icon. Leaving the search field blank lets you add unassigned signatures, or you can search to add signatures for any user or client by typing in the search field.
Clicking on the signature box on the page will show who the box is assigned to (or if it's unassigned) and has the option to delete it - if the block needs to be reassigned, it will need to be deleted and re-added with the appropriate assignee.

Signatures cannot be dragged off the canvas (even partially), and will always be on the top layer above all other block types: no more hidden or missing signatures!

Signees don't need verification to sign, and after clicking on their signature box, the fields will automatically pre-populate.

  • Page flow and static sections have been removed in favour of an Infinite Canvas: you can force the canvas to stretch downward based on the content placed on the page and can visualize the page breaks by PDF Page Break to the left of the canvas.
The canvas will adjust with you, like the GIF below:
