Sending to a group and only need one signature? Include a single unassigned signature box.
Sometimes you need to send a proposal to a group/team/family, but only need one signature to get the ball rolling. If you assign a signature box to all parties, then the proposal won’t show as won until every person signs. To prevent this, just leave one unassigned signature within your proposal. That way, you can get the single signature you need and your customers can decide who signs off.
Working with one gatekeeper and need sign-off from many departments? Use many unassigned signatures.
Depending on your product, you may need signatures from many departments. This could include your customer’s legal, procurement, accounts, and management teams. Oftentimes, you won’t have access to those peoples’ names or email addresses. In that case, you can use more unassigned signatures.
This lets you get the sign-off you need from everyone, even if you don’t know the contact's details. To add more unassigned signatures, keep clicking +unknown signee from the signees dropdown:
IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure to only include the signature boxes that you’ll need. The proposal won't show as won until all signatures are collected.
Need a signee email for follow-up? Include an input form.
While we do include an email address field when filling an unassigned signature box, we only use it to send a verification email. If you need to contact the signee, you'll want to include a form field to collect that person’s email for your own use. To do that, select the unknown signee from the signee menu:
This will open the signatures menu for the unknown signee. From here, drag and drop the input form button to add a form field for that person:
Each extra signature box, initial, or input form will be colour-coded to match the signee that goes with it. This way, you can easily tell one from the others. You can learn more about input forms here.
