You and your sales team have a full arsenal to help close the next deal, including a  sell sheet, proposal, presentation deck, and more. Keeping your sales material consistent and the customer engaged can be a big task.

While Proposify has mastered the proposal and makes an inspiring sell sheet, presentations have mainly been a Powerpoint thing. That works fine, but often provides limited next steps and only serves one purpose. Proposify’s new “presentation mode” lets you create a one-stop sales tool. It keeps your work consistent while letting your client view, sign, and pay all in one place.

In a rush? Here’s what we’ll be talking about in this article:

Presentation Mode Basics

Presentation mode works directly from your proposal. We make the proposal fullscreen and remove all distracting elements (bottom bar, table of contents, buttons). From there, it leaves only the important stuff: like where to sign and what your company can do for your client.

Presentation mode doesn’t change any part of the proposal itself. Your client can still update optional/editable fees, sign, pay, and fill out their input forms.

Pro-tip: Since we’re using the base proposal as a deck, it’s a good idea to make your proposal in landscape mode. That way your screen real-estate is being put to the best possible use.

Entering Presentation Mode

There are two places within your proposal to open presentation mode.

If you don’t need your client to sign or fill out anything in the proposal, you can work from the proposal’s preview page. To reach the preview page, click preview from the proposal’s snapshot:

This will open your proposal in a new browser tab. From there, click presentation mode at the top of the page. You can also click the three-dot menu at the bottom and select presentation mode:

Pro-tip: If you need your client to sign or add input to this deck, then copy the client’s link from the Snapshot page:

Once copied, paste the URL in a new window (you may need to sign out first). This will remove that top ribbon, but you can still reach preview mode from the three-dot menu:

Navigating Presentation Mode

Once you’re in presentation mode, navigate the proposal using the control found at the bottom left of the page.

Move to the next page by using the > button in the control:

You can also press the right arrow or down arrow key on your keyboard.

You can revisit a previous page by clicking the > button from the control.

You can also press the left arrow or up arrow key on your keyboard.

If you need to jump to a page, navigate between sections with the section menu on the left:

Finally, to exit the presentation press escape on your keyboard or click exit:

Exiting presentation mode will bring you back to the proposal.

Signing and Accepting From Presentation Mode

If you’ve included a signature box in this proposal, you’ll see a sign & accept button at the top right of the page:

Clicking that button will take you to the signature box and client input forms you have assigned to this client. Once everything is signed, we'll mark the proposal as won.
