You have to submit a proposal in two hours but that section you need to tie everything together is gone. Before you start rewriting your work, we’ve got you covered. We make it easy to restore lost sections so you can spend more time on the important things (like coffee breaks).

IMPORTANT NOTE: This process will help you recover work if it’s been used in more than one proposal. If the edits are all from the same proposal, it may be lost for good.

Restoring A Lost Section To Your Section Library

Step 1: Enter the editor

If you can't find this section in your content library, you can restore it by finding a proposal that also had it. Ask yourself: Is this section part of a template? Did I send this somewhere before? If so, find the proposal or template with this section inside.

If it's in a template, enter the template editor from the template library. Hover over your chosen template and click edit template:

If it’s in a proposal, locate that proposal from your pipeline. From there, click edit to enter the proposal's editor:

There may be a point where you've only used this section in a proposal marked as won, lost, or archived. If that's the case, you'll need to either duplicate or make edits to that proposal.

To do that, enter the proposal's snapshot page and click make edits at the top right:

HEADS UP: This takes you to the proposal editor, but it will also void your signatures. If you have signatures in your proposal, duplicate it instead by clicking duplicate

This will create a copy of your proposal in the drafts queue.

Step 2: Save this section to your content library

Once you've made it to the editor, locate the section you'd like to restore in the left-hand section pane. When you've found it, hover over the section, click the "..." menu button that appears on the right, and select save to library:

If the section already exists, you’ll be prompted to either save as a new version or replace the existing section in the content library. Choose the option that suits you best.

Restoring a section to your proposal/template

If you've lost a section stored in your library, you can restore it by clicking the + icon at the top of the section pane:

From here, a menu will appear to the right. You'll have the option to add a new section, import a PDF, or pull from your content library:

Click the section library tab and drag the section into your section menu:
